Cucumbers are truly an incredible work of art. They are way more resourceful than you can ever imagine. If you think the only thing cucumbers are good for is to be tossed into a salad, think again!
- By eating one cucumber a day, you get a healthy dose of vitamin A, vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, and B6, folic acid, vitamin C, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and zinc.

- Eating a cucumber will provide you with a speedy boost that can last for hours, just like caffeine, but in a healthier way, since cucumbers contain all those vitamin B’s in addition to carbs.
- Rubbing a piece of cucumber over your bathroom mirror will defog it, and create a soothing scent that will make you feel like you’re in a spa.
- Slice some cucumbers and place them in an tin pan to make a home-made pesticide. The reaction that takes place between the cucumber and the aluminum gives off a terrible stench that drives the garden bugs away. No need to worry about children or yourself, since the odor is undetectable to the human nose.
- Rub a slice of cucumber over your skin to remove cellulite, and reduce wrinkles. The phytochemicals found in the cucumber triggers your skin to tighten.
- Cool cucumber slices positioned over swollen eyes help reduce puffiness.
- The sugar, electrolytes and vitamins found in cucumbers make them a great ‘aspirin’ to take to avoid a hangover or headache. Eat some prior to going to bed and awaken refreshed!

- Use cucumbers instead of WD-40 to fix that squeaky hinge. Rub a slice over the noisy hinge and you're all set.
- Press a slice of cucumber to your upper palate for half a minute to get rid of bad breath. The phytochemicals kill the bacteria that are guilty of causing bad breath.
What a gem the cucumber really is!
