We asked. You responded. In fact, the response was so overwhelming that the judges had a very difficult time narrowing it down to just one winner. After much consideration, we shortlisted the recipes down to the top five submissions, tested them in TigerChef’s very own kitchen, and gave them back to our panel of judges for tasting.

5th place- Breaded Broccoli

16 oz. bag of frozen broccoli spears
2 cups unseasoned breadcrumbs
2 eggs beaten
3/4 cup grated Pecoroni Romano cheese
2 cloves garlic finely chopped
1 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
- Defrost broccoli completely in a colander and pat dry on paper towels.
- In a shallow bowl, beat eggs lightly. In a separate bowl, combine breadcrumbs with cheese, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper.
- Dip broccoli into egg and then into breadcrumbs.
- Fry in olive oil until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm.
