Excited Over Sales
Whenever I'm advised of upcoming sales, I get pretty excited. I'm a seasoned cook, though not a professional, but just the same, my eagerness over the new, the standards and the price-friendly items continues to grow.
Just a few weeks ago I got to work on the Big Summer Savings section - a compilation of more than 2,500 items offered at a minimum of 50% off (some are even discounted at a whopping 70%). It's a lot of tedious work that goes on behind the scenes, but when I finally get to see that sale banner at the top of the home page, I know the work is done and I can take time to dream-shop.
Boy, I wish I could get paid to shop and use all these products! Of course, what could I really do with a Bakery Display Case or a Beer Dispenser (when I don't really drink). One can dream, though.
I envy those of you in the biz who get to not only make the decisions, but have such things put to use in your establishment. Since starting my work at TigerChef, my dining-out experience has changed. I'm more interested in peering around a corner to sneak a look at the kitchen equipment than I am about the fare I'm about to savor. I guess it means that I'm taking my work home (or in this case, OUT with me).
