Saucy Rib Steaks
One of the richest, juiciest and most flavorful steaks ever. Pretty easy to make and even easier to eat! The mix of ingredients yields one heck of a steak!
Ingredients:
6 rib steaks, preferable boneless
1 Tablespoon oil
1 box mushrooms, sliced
3 cloves garlic, crushed
2 Tablespoon brandy
2/3 cup beef broth
3 Tablespoons dried parsley
¼ teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon cornstarch
¼ cup cold water
Directions:
In a large, deep frying pan, brown both sides of the meat in oil. Remove the steaks from the pan and set aside. Place the mushrooms and garlic in the deep frying pan and sauté for 5-6 minutes. Add the broth, brandy, parsley, and salt. Allow the sauce to come to a boil before replacing the steaks in the pan. Cover and cook the steaks at a low simmer, for 1 hour.
Combine the cornstarch and water and mix well. Uncover the pan and pour in the cornstarch mixture, stirring until the sauce thickens. Turn off the flame, and serve.
To add the barbeque flavor, place steaks on grill for 2 minutes on each side before serving.
