Unclogging Drains

With one mouthwatering holiday meal following the next, your kitchen sink drain suffers quite a beating at this time of the year. Clearing your sink drain is surprisingly an uncomplicated chore, especially when you’re prepared with useful information and the correct paraphernalia. The following guidelines are another opportunity for you to save some money and will lend a hand in unclogging your clogged drain-from slight to obstinate and everything in between.
- Shot number 1. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of baking soda into the drain, and then chase it down with 1 cup of vinegar. Let the combo break down the goo for approximately 15 minutes. After that, pour boiling water down the drain.

- If the clog is more obdurate then you thought it to be, try bucketing 1 cup of baking soda together with 1/2 cup of salt down the drain. Allow this concoction to sit in the drain for several hours, overnight would be your best bet, before flushing the drain with 2 cups of boiling hot water.
- For an eco-friendly Rx, empty one cup of bleach down your drain. The bleach will get through the grunge and murder the germs. What’s more, it breaks down into water, salt and oxygen. This way, it won’t cause any damage to the environment. For safety’s sake, never use bleach with any other method. Wash away the bleach by letting the water run for a couple of minutes.
- Here’s a bubbly buildup blaster. Pour a 2 liter bottle of coke down the drain. When the bubbles unite with the soda’s citric acid, it will dislodge the sticky stuff (not to mention coke in the human body). After 10 minutes just use a plunger. ...continue reading
