Couscous Pepper Pilaf

Tired of serving/eating the same old side dishes for supper every night? The couscous pepper pilaf makes a great side dish, either for a special occasion or just a regular dinner night. An added bonus- the peppers add color, flavor and vitamins.

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon butter or olive oil
1 small onion, very finely chopped
1 cup green bell pepper, diced
1 cup red bell pepper, diced
3 medium garlic cloves, crushed with garlic press
1-1/2 cups water

Delectable Pepper Steak Medley

Pepper steak is a sure-fire hit, a family favorite. Very tender and flavorful, this recipe is definitely the best pepper steak I have yet to taste.

 

Ingredients:

2 lbs. pepper steak
1 tablespoon oil
1 cup boiling water
1 tablespoon onion soup mix
2 teaspoons sugar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
½ teaspoon ginger (optional)
1 red pepper, sliced
½ green pepper, sliced

Avocado and Roasted Red Pepper Sandwich

This sandwich is all about big flavor combinations. It’s remarkable how the combination of such uncomplicated ingredients produces something so sublime.

It’s up to you to decide on a dressing. Personally, I go more for the mayonnaise/Caesar one.
