Ice Machines

TigerChef offers Ice Bins that fit both machines (30" and 48") and top mounted makers. Many restaurants purchase additional bins to accommodate storage for busy days, or to make ice readily available at waiter and bar sessions. How much ice should a restaurant need at any given time? That all depends on the type of service and temperatures. The norm is 1.5 lbs per person for dining, and 3 lbs per person for bar service. Salad bars would require approximately 30 lbs per cubic foot, and if you're in the fast-food business, consider 1/2lb (8 oz) per 14 oz drink.
