    How big are the holes?

    Per the manufacturer, the hole size is 6mm x 5mmH.

    the spec states this collander is 3 inch's in height is that correct? I will be using it to strain and move cold wet items in ice water. Will turn brittle and break?

    It is 3" high and very durable so it will not break from normal use.
