These were perfect for my cake pops. I purchased two cake stands with dome lids. I purchased styrofoam disc and glued cardboard cake pop holders (basically round smooth cardboard that already has holes in it for the cake pops) to the top of the styrofoam disc. I then glued decorative ribbon around the edge of the foam. I placed the disc on top of the stands so I can change the look if needed anytime.

While this stand is intended to display cakes, it's a lot more versatile than that. I've used it with muffins, eclairs, breads, and even fruits, always with great results. The lid does a great job at keeping those inquisitive fruit flies away, while still giving a clear view of the contents.

Functionality: 5/5

+Lightweight.

+Groove on the rim keeps lid secure.

+Easy to wash.

-There is some rust on the bolt used to assemble the stand, suggesting the bolt is not stainless. You can avoid this issue by wiping the bolt threads down with some grease when assembling.

-Glue used for labels is difficult to remove.



Fit and Finish: 5/5

+No scratches or dents either on the stand or on the lid.

+-Assembly is straightforward, but does not come with instructions. Arrange the pieces in the configuration you see in the photos, then insert the bolt through the top of the platter first, and through the two base pieces. Finally hand-tighten the locknut. I show this in my video above.



Value: 5/5 ($12.31)

+Slightly lower cost. Comparable stands in the $15-20 dollar range.
