    This is a lightweight bowl that is excellent for light-duty tasks. I use it for washing & preparing produce, serving popcorn, and defrosting meats. I also find it easy to wash because it is so light and easy to handle.

    Since the metal is very thin however, I don't recommend using this bowl for more demanding tasks, like cutting butter into pastry. That would likely dent and scratch the finish. There is a heavy duty bowl similar to this one available on TigerChef that is better suited for those tasks (https://www.tigerchef.com/winco-mxbh-1300-13-quart-heavy-duty.html).
