Balloon Whips

The balloon whip has at least eight sturdy flexible wires and is used to incorporate air into egg whites or cream including meringues, souffles, cake batters, and whipped creams. Balloon whisks are also commonly used to mix together dry ingredients, like flour, salt, and baking powder, baking soda as the whisk is able to break up large bits of flour, often eliminating the need for sifting.
